Instant Feedback with Real-time Explicit Modeling and Enhanced RealismCoCreate Modeling PE 3.0 includes real-time explicit modeling and enhanced realism. Both provide instant feedback as you work with your models. For example, move a profile, feature, or group of faces, and the actual
model updates instantly. That means you know exactly what your changes
look like, without having to preview or predict the result of a change.
Plus, with the new enhanced realism, the 3D design always appears fully
realistic. So you'll see shadows and mirror planes as you work. This new
visual environment helps you see the results of your work as you go and
provides tremendous usability and productivity boosts for any designer. |

Speed Design with Context Sensitive Mini-Toolbars and Push-Pull ParadigmsAnother neat addition is context-sensitive mini-toolbars. Even in the best software, you traditionally have to right click or go through menus to see what tools and options are available as you work. Mini-toolbars show the most relevant commands and options that apply to the context of the design, based on what you might need to complete a particular design step. The impact on your design speed is immediately noticeable. Also new is a Push-Pull paradigm. Profiles, features, and faces can be
directly pushed or pulled in 3D space in real-time, with instant updates.
Again, this bypasses some of the more traditional commands and options and
significantly speeds your design time. |

New Ways to Drive Designs Changes with Intelligent 3D DimensionsIf you're adding product manufacturing information directly to your designs, you'll benefit from new intelligent 3D dimensioning. You can add dimensions to both native and imported 3D models at any time. CoCreate Modeling PE 3.0 displays the preferred 3D dimension type for whatever geometry you're working with, like a diameter dimension for the radial surface of a hole. Plus, your dimensions can be used to subsequently change your geometry; for example, you could change the diameter value of a dimension, and the diameter of the hole changes at the same time. Change a model via dimensioning in combination with real-time explicit modeling, and you begin to see the power, transparency, flexibility, and ease of use that define this release. |
