This allows the transitions between any toolpaths in the same project to be
managed in WorkNC by the operator giving him full control of what happens on
the NC machine itself. Control is further enhanced by the introduction
of a new machine collision detection management module. WorkNC
detects collisions and out-of-limit conditions in a global machining
environment which takes into account the machine, the part, the clamping
system along with the tool and tool holder assembly. WorkNC project calculations have been completely reviewed in V23 to offer
another improvement in response to customers' expectations concerning
productivity and resources. The new project activation process means
improved calculation performance and toolpath accuracy, with the project size
being up to 5 times smaller.
And for WorkNC CAD in version 23, modifications can now be
made to the STL file during the preparation phase. “STL files can be used
directly as stock models without being assigned as a CAD stock model. This
means the stock model can be activated considerably quicker, while producing a
better quality toolpath.”
Additional CAD functions for model preparation include preview options to
optimise dynamically before validating the final result:
- Surface extensions – normal, draft or tangent to a surface or plane
- Solid chamfer or fillet with automatic model trimming
- Profile curve based on a surface silhouette from the direction of a given
projection
- Surface offset of multiple surfaces with automatic intersection option to
achieve the best possible result.
