CoCreate CAD - Data transfer: Frequently asked Questions

ProE's own checking option

Situation A part has been designed in ProE and shall be transfered to OSDM.
Q/A Text
Question Transfered model does not build a SOLID, WHY ?
Answer In most cases, this results from inaccurate model geometry.

This restriction can already be checked in ProE:

The main menu shows an option

Geom Check

And the submenu

INFO

If this check button is enabled, ProE alredy knows about geometric errors in the actual part. Detailed info is available in text format. Features causing errors can be highlighted and easily found in the part.

Currently it seems as if all models which ProE regards as correct (i.e. the button Geom. Check in ProE's user interface is disabled) do transfer to SolidDesigner without any problem and can be converted to valid solids.

This has to be verified with more complex but correct ProE models.

Note:

  • The restiction to < 0.01 mm minimum accuracy still applies to all OSDM parts.
  • All models imported to OSDM, no matter from which sending system,
have to be as accurate as this (or better).
